Irv Kipnes, Executive Chairman for Liquor Stores is a soft spoken man with a smile never far from his face. He is one of Edmonton’s most successful entrepreneurs and a prostate cancer survivor. He has been instrumental, with the help of Liquor Depot President and CEO Rick Crook, in raising $1.7 million in four years through The Experience which will help build a rapid access prostate health clinic. This event is close to his heart and Irv is proud to present The Experience for 2011 which raised close to $700 000 this year!

One in seven men will receive a diagnosis of prostate cancer in his lifetime. That's a lot of men - a lot of fathers, brothers, sons, husbands and friends. By attending The Experience, you are contributing to the Campaign for Prostate Health and helping to ensure that men of central and northern Alberta benefit from timely access to specialized services.

Edmonton Opera's award winning productions connect with the community and introduce audiences to the magic scale of opera. Producing an opera is one of the most expensive feats in performing arts, so the funds raised through The Experience will be directed towards production and artistic costs
